A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Elizabeth, the owner and heart behind The Graceful Closet, a small modest-fashion boutique nestled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
As a wife, mom, foster mom, and woman of faith, I believe every woman deserves to feel beautiful and confident in clothing that reflects her values, without sacrificing style or affordability.
My heart is to offer thoughtfully selected boutique clothing in a wide range of sizes, with a special passion for helping plus-size women find beautiful, feminine, modest styles they truly love wearing.
The Heart Behind My Dream
Behind this little boutique is a story that goes much deeper than clothing.
The Graceful Closet was born during a season of rebuilding, rediscovering joy, and learning to find purpose in the midst of heartache.
My husband, Chris, and I have been blessed with three precious sons: our oldest, Colton, who continues to fill our home with laughter and joy; our sweet Logan, who was born sleeping in 2019; and our youngest, Landon, who went to Heaven in March 2025 at just 22 months old. Along the way, we've also experienced the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages.
Our journey through motherhood hasn't always looked the way we imagined, but every one of our children has shaped our hearts in ways words could never fully express.
Landon was born with a rare genetic condition and endured more medical challenges in his short life than most people experience in a lifetime. Yet through it all, he had the most incredible smile, beautiful twinkling blue eyes, and a remarkable way of bringing joy to everyone around him.
Through Landon, God taught us so much about unconditional love, compassion, and finding joy even in the hardest seasons. And although losing him forever changed our family, the love he taught us to give didn't end with his passing.
That love helped lead us to open our hearts and home to children through foster care. We wanted to take the love we had been given and pour it into children who needed a safe, loving place to land, whether for a season or for longer.
During this same season, I began pursuing a dream that had been tucked away in my heart: creating a modest clothing boutique where women could feel beautiful, confident, and valued.
But this dream is about more than clothing.
As a mom and foster mom, I wanted to build something meaningful that would allow me to contribute to our family while still being present for Colton and the children in our care. I wanted the freedom to be there for the everyday moments, the appointments, the school days, and all the little things that make motherhood so precious.
What began with thrifting and reselling beautiful preloved clothing has slowly grown into The Graceful Closet, a boutique built on faith, family, and a desire to serve other women.
My hope is that as The Graceful Closet grows, I can someday create a special collection in Landon's memory, with proceeds helping provide grief counseling and support to mothers who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child.
Because if there's one thing our journey has taught me, it's that even through life's deepest heartaches, love can continue to grow, hope can be rediscovered, and something beautiful can bloom.
The Graceful Closet is more than a business to me. It's a dream that allows me to love my family, honor the children who have shaped my heart, and hopefully encourage other women along the way.
